As Create approaches, something subtle but important begins to happen.

We start to prepare. Not just our supplies, but our mindset. We slow down, take stock of what we have, and begin to shift into a creative rhythm. This November 7 live was one of those meaningful moments, a quiet but essential step in warming up for Create.

This was an at-home prep session, with everyone joining from their own spaces, easing into the season together.

Why Prep Matters

Preparation isn’t about rushing or pressure. It’s about confidence.

When we take time to prep ahead of a big creative event, we give ourselves the gift of calm. We reduce stress. We make space to actually enjoy the experience instead of scrambling through it.

This live was about setting ourselves up for success, organizing, reviewing, and gently getting ready for what was coming next.

About the Video

This prep live offers a behind-the-scenes look at how we get ready for Create.

It’s a relaxed, conversational session, focused on preparation, intention, and easing into the Create mindset. There’s no pressure to be finished or perfect, just encouragement to feel ready.

Preparing from Home, Together

One of the things I love most about Create is that we prepare from home.

Everyone’s space looks different. Everyone’s process is unique. Some people are fully organized, others are still gathering supplies, and that’s perfectly okay. This prep session honored all of those approaches.

The goal isn’t to do it “right.” The goal is to feel supported and confident heading into Create.

Building Anticipation Without Overwhelm

This live also served as a gentle reminder that anticipation doesn’t need to feel overwhelming.

By taking time to prep together, questions get answered, concerns ease, and excitement builds naturally. It’s a way of saying, “You don’t have to do this alone. We’re doing this together.”

That shared preparation is part of what makes Create feel so welcoming.

A Thoughtful Step Before Create

This November 7 prep session was an important bridge between everyday crafting and the full Create experience.

It allowed us to pause, prepare, and step forward with intention, which is exactly how I want Create to feel for everyone involved.

If you joined live or watched the replay, thank you for showing up and taking that step with us.

With gratitude,
Martha
