September 7: A Creative Conversation with Tamara Perry

Some of the best creative moments are the ones you don’t plan.

On September 7, I went live with creative superstar Tamara Perry for what we thought was going to be a casual, private conversation. We had originally planned to chat on TikTok, keep it low-key, and just talk about crafting.

Well… creativity had other plans.

The conversation ended up being public, unscripted, and absolutely delightful, and honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing.

When Crafting Brings People Together

Tamara and I had never met before. We hadn’t spoken prior to this live. And yet, the moment we started talking, it felt like sitting down with an old crafty friend.

We talked about creativity, community, crafting journeys, and the joy that comes from sharing ideas instead of guarding them. There was no agenda, no outline, just two creatives showing up and letting the conversation unfold naturally.

Those are often the most meaningful kinds of lives.

About the Video

If you haven’t watched the replay yet, this is one of those videos that feels less like a “show” and more like an invitation to listen in.

This live is relaxed, conversational, and full of the kind of honest crafting talk that reminds us why we fell in love with this hobby in the first place.

Creativity Without a Script

One of the things I loved most about this live was how unpolished it was, in the best way.

There were no expectations. No pressure. Just curiosity, laughter, and shared enthusiasm for all things paper crafting. It was a reminder that creativity doesn’t need a script to be meaningful.

Sometimes, the magic happens when we simply say yes and press “go.”

Why This Moment Belongs Here

This blog exists to capture moments like this, not just projects or product releases, but the connections that happen along the way.

This conversation with Tamara represents exactly what I want Martha’s Paper Crafting to be about: community, openness, and creative joy.

If you joined us live or caught the replay later, thank you for being part of that moment. And if you’re just discovering it now, I hope it leaves you feeling encouraged to start conversations of your own.

Because you never know where they might lead.

With gratitude,
Martha
