Authentically You Mini Book, A New Year’s Eve Time Capsule for 2026

The last day of the year always feels different.
The house is quieter in a certain way, even if life is still moving around us. The to-do lists are still there, the dishes still exist, and the world does not pause just because the calendar is turning. But something inside us knows. Something inside us notices.
December 31 is a threshold.
And this year, I wanted to cross it with intention, not noise. I wanted to end 2025 with my hands on paper, my heart in the right place, and a project that felt like more than a craft.
That is exactly how the Authentically You mini book was born.
It is small enough to tuck into your purse, but meaningful enough to keep for life. It is a tiny, beautiful pocket book that holds something we do not always give ourselves time to hold.
A clear picture of who we are.
Not the version we perform. Not the version that keeps everything together. Not the version with the perfect hair, the perfect smile, the perfect “I’m fine.”
The real one.
And if you have ever struggled to make space for that version of yourself, then this is your invitation.
A New Year’s Eve Project With a Purpose
This was not just a cute mini book class.
This was a New Year’s Eve moment where we chose to create something that could carry us forward, month by month, into 2026. The word that kept coming up for me, over and over, was authenticity.
Not as a buzzword, not as a trend, and not as a performance.
Authenticity as a quiet decision.
A decision to be in the picture. A decision to tell the truth gently. A decision to keep a record of the real story, not just the highlight reel.
That is why this mini book is built around the months.
It becomes a time capsule.
A place for one photo each month, a place for journaling, and little pockets and flips that give you a soft structure without making it feel like homework. You can revisit it every single month of the year, and you will be amazed at how much changes, how much grows, and how much you learn about yourself by simply paying attention.
This is memory keeping, but it is also self-keeping.
Small Pages, Big Meaning
One of my favorite parts of this project is the way every page holds a little space for you.
There are pockets, signature pages, flips, waterfalls, hidden spots, and even magnets to help the book stay closed. It is detailed, yes, but the purpose is not to complicate your life. The purpose is to give you little “places” inside the book, so that your memories have a home.
A photo here.
A prompt there.
A tiny note to yourself tucked into a pocket.
A ribbon marker that says, “Come back to this.”
This is why I keep calling it a pocket of love, because that is exactly what it becomes. You are not just building pages. You are building a rhythm you can return to.
And the beauty is, it does not have to be perfect.
Some months you will write a full page. Some months you will only tuck a photo in and call it good. Some months you might add a scrap of vellum and a little rub-on and feel like you made something magical. Some months you might simply show up.
All of it counts.
About the New Year’s Eve Class
This New Year’s Eve class was a mix of crafting, community, gentle planning, and real-time creativity at the table. I showed the structure of the mini book step by step, and we talked through how this project can become a monthly practice through the year ahead.
You will see the pages come together, the pockets and flips take shape, and the little design decisions that make it both beautiful and functional. It is calm, conversational, and it feels like crafting with friends, not watching a formal tutorial.

Here is the truth.
The class may be over, but the project is not.
This mini book is not something you finish once and set on a shelf. It is something you return to. It is designed to be opened again and again, month after month, like a living scrapbook of you.
That is what makes it special.
And that is why I want you to have it, even if you could not attend live.
If you missed the New Year’s Eve Zoom, you can still purchase the class and create your book. You can still join this practice. You can still build your time capsule for 2026.
Because the heart of it is not the date on the calendar. The heart of it is the decision to begin.
Gentle Takeaway for 2026
If you are looking for a big sign to start showing up for yourself, this is it, quietly and lovingly.
Start small.
One picture a month.
One prompt.
One honest sentence.
One pocket filled with something that mattered.
You do not need to overhaul your life to live more authentically. You just need a place to tell the truth in small, steady ways. This mini book gives you that place, and it gives you a reason to return.
And that return, over time, becomes a gift.
Not just to you, but to the generations that come after you. A record of who you really were, in the year you chose to be seen.
As we say goodbye to 2025, I just want to tell you thank you.
Thank you for crafting with me, for learning with me, for showing up in community, and for letting paper and memory keeping be part of your story. I am grateful for you, and I am so excited for what we will create together in 2026.
With gratitude,
Martha
