Create Day 1 Gratitude – Create 2025: Creating at Home, Together
Create Day 1 always carries a special kind of energy, especially during the November Create event.
This Create experience is completely at home. I participate from my own home, just like everyone else joining the event. There is no travel involved, no packing, no changing locations, just showing up from our personal creative spaces and gathering together online.
Even though we are each in our own homes, the sense of connection is strong and immediate. That is one of the most beautiful things about Create.
Beginning Where We Are
Create Day 1 is about arrival, not travel, but intention.
It’s about pausing everyday routines, setting aside distractions, and choosing to create right where we are. Kitchens, craft rooms, dining tables, and cozy corners all become part of a shared creative space.
There is permission on Day 1 to slow down, admire the papers, organize supplies, and ease into the experience without pressure. Some people craft right away. Others watch, listen, and take it all in. Both approaches are welcome and encouraged.
The Morning Session: Opening the Event
The morning session of Create Day 1 feels like opening the doors to a virtual gathering.
Names appear in the chat, greetings are exchanged, and excitement builds as the community comes together again. This session sets the tone for the entire event, warm, welcoming, and grounded in creativity.
This is where intentions are set and the creative journey begins.
The Evening Session: Settling In
By the evening session, the energy softens and deepens.
The day has unfolded, confidence has grown, and creativity begins to flow more naturally. Conversations feel relaxed, ideas start to take shape, and there is a comforting rhythm to creating together from home.
Even though everyone is in their own space, the shared experience is real and meaningful.
Community Without Walls
Create at Home allows people from all over to gather without travel or logistics. It opens the door to creativity for those who may not be able to attend in-person events, while still offering connection, inspiration, and shared joy.
The encouragement in the chat, the kindness exchanged, and the collective excitement remind us that community is not defined by location. It is defined by people.
